Will has worked at BIS for three years and been working overseas for nearly 9 years. Originally from the United States, Will has worked in China and currently lives in Bonn with his wife, Laura (a Learning Support teacher) and his three children. Will is passionate about helping international schools develop cultures where all students are welcome and able to acquire a meaningful education.

Helle Moller-Sorensen

Helle Moller-Sorensen

Head of Learning Support

Helle has worked at BIS since 2015, first as a Secondary Learning Support Teacher and since February 2020 as the Head of Learning Support. Before that she was a Language Acquisition and Educational Support Teacher in a high school in Denmark. She is passionate about a strength-based and individualized approach to teaching and learning and loves spending time hiking and training her golden retriever as a therapy dog.

Administrative Assistant

Kathi has worked at BIS for three years as Administrative Assistant. Before coming to BIS, she has worked in the chemical industry for over 12 years. Kathi grew up in the Bonn area and likes being outdoors, either while running or horseback riding. She is passionate about making school the place you feel welcome and appreciated at.

Kristine Bordner

Learning Support

Kristine has worked at BIS since August of 2020 as a Learning Support Teacher in the primary school. Prior to moving to Germany, Kristine worked as Head of Learning Support in both The Netherlands and Japan. Originally from the United States, Kristine has been working with students with exceptional needs for over twenty years. Her vision of providing inclusive school services is her passion and she has been able to have the opportunity to do so in several different schools.

Kalli Walker

Kalli Walker

Counselor

Kalli has served as a counselor at BIS since the Fall of 2020. Before moving to Germany, Kalli worked as a high school counselor in the United States. As a school counselor, she is passionate about recognizing and celebrating the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and needs of her students. She hopes to create a school environment where all students have equitable access to their education ensuring they can reach their full potential both inside and outside of the classroom.

Paige Alcock

Paige Alcock

Physical and Health Education

Paige has worked at BIS since August of 2020 as a Physical and Health Education Teacher in the primary and secondary school. Before moving to Germany, Paige lived in South Korea for two years teaching English. Originally from South Africa, Paige completed her studies in Sport Science and Kinderkinetics where she discovered a passion for the holistic development of children. Her goal is to collaborate with other teachers in order to integrate movement into all classroom lessons. This allows students to be more engaged applying their knowledge across subjects, and enhancing their overall learning.
